KHAN YOUNIS, (PIC)-- An Israeli soldier was hit during an IOF incursion east of Qarara in Khan Younis district, southern Gaza Strip, at an early hour on Tuesday, eyewitnesses said.
They said that an IOF foot patrol was targeted by the Qassam Brigades' fighters and that one of the soldiers was wounded in the shooting.
The witnesses noted that an Israeli ambulance arrived to the scene along with reinforcements that included five tanks, and added that at least one of the soldiers was hit.
The IOF command acknowledged that one of the soldiers was injured and carried to Soroka hospital.
The Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas Movement, said that the shooting was in retaliation to the occupation crimes other than confronting its daily incursions
