AMMAN, (PIC)-- Hasan Hussein, a noted Palestinian writer and the former information director of the Palestinian national council, expressed his shock and dismay at the Egyptian decision to build an iron wall on its borders with Gaza at the pretext of sovereignty.

In a press statement to the Palestinian information center (PIC), Hussein also condemned the subsequent smear campaign waged by some Egyptian journalists against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.

“What if Uganda built a dam on the Nile preventing water from reaching Egypt at the pretext of the Ugandan sovereignty?” he questioned.

The writer pointed to the legal opinion issued by many international law experts which confirmed that this wall violates international law.

Commenting on the first anniversary of the Israeli war on Gaza, he said that it was a three-dimensional war waged by Israel and the US in collaboration with those he described as “apostates” who renounced the path of the Palestinian revolution.

“This tripartite trend tried to achieve several objectives that serve all parties, the first one was to restore the Strip and to kill whomever they want, the second goal was to eliminate Hamas Movement within two to three days and the last one was to release Zionist captive Shalit,” the writer emphasized.

The writer also underscored that these parties miserably failed to achieve their goals and were not able to damage the military infrastructure of Hamas, adding that the war, on the contrary, damaged Israel’s reputation worldwide after the mass destruction and killing it caused in Gaza.
