GAZA, (PIC)-- Raed Salah, the leader of the Islamic Movement in the 1948-occupoied Palestinian lands, has warned on Thursday of Israeli schemes targeting the Aqsa Mosque, describing the Israeli court ruling against him as “false military decision”, and vowed to continue working for the Aqsa.

In an interview with the PIC, Salah said that the recent cracks in the buildings and streets of the occupied city of Jerusalem were the result of the continued Israeli excavations under the Mosque that pose serious threats to it.

“I am worried about an Israeli plan to build a synagogue near the Buraq plaza that they intend to finish in March this year, which I believe would be the practical start for the construction of a bigger synagogue at the expense of the Aqsa Mosque”, Salah highlighted.

He also accused the Israeli occupation of planning to divide the Aqsa Mosque between Muslims and Jews even by military force in the same way they divided the Ibrahimi Mosque in Al-Khalil city in 1994, in addition to a number of schemes to transform a number of prayer places inside the Aqsa Mosque, including the Marwani mosque and the Buraq prayer area into synagogues.

“Indeed, the Israeli campaign of demolishing Palestinian homes in Jerusalem and of forcing Palestinian Jerusalemites out of the city was part of the Israeli scheme to judaize the city and to ensure Jewish majority in it”, Salah underlined.

Salah deprecated the Arab and Muslim stands towards those Israeli hostilities against the holy shrine, saying. “Arab and Muslims haven’t yet matched the level of the events happening to the Aqsa Mosque although they possess a number of cards that could give them an effective pressure force against the Zionist occupation.
